The Morpheus8 handpiece tip features silicone-coated needle electrodes that are inserted through the skin into the superficial adipose tissue located just under the skin. The tips of the uncoated positively charged needle electrodes release powerful RF energy, which causes local coagulation of adipose tissue and its thickening, as well as a contraction of the fibroseptal network connected to the skin. The contraction of adipose tissue and fibroseptal network causes skin tightening. RF energy then flows from the tips of the positively charged needle electrodes to the surface negatively charged rhombic-shaped electrodes through which the needle electrodes protrude. The RF flow going to the negatively charged external electrodes has a soft, non-necrotic character and thickens the dermis.
The Morpheus8 nozzle delivers energy from 24 silicone-coated monopolar electrodes to the surface adipose tissue under the skin. A patented pulse of RF energy is applied to the adipose tissue. It heats adipose tissue to 70 °C and coagulates, contracts subdermal adipose tissue and, importantly, shortens the horizontal, oblique, vertical connective tissue fibers that go to the skin, called FSN (fibroseptal network). Thanks to this, a significant thickening of soft tissues is provided and the elimination of overlying wrinkles, scars, uneven skin relief, pores, even stretch marks and scars after acne. The silicone coating of the microneedles protects the skin from any thermal damage.
Morpheus8 shows high results in lifting tissues in the neck, face, eyebrows, upper and lower eyelids, as well as in areas of the body with pronounced sagging skin.
By making several passes (2-3) with the Morpheus8 nozzle inserted at different depths, it is possible to increase the volume of coagulation and contraction of the FSN and adipose tissue, resulting in a more pronounced thickening of the skin and remodeling of the dermis.
Non-surgical lifting is recommended for patients who want to achieve skin tightening, wrinkle reduction or skin texture improvement, but are afraid of the risks and the need for a recovery period inherent in surgical procedures. Morpheus8 is the optimal means of lifting the eyebrows, lower eyelid, cheeks, jawline and sagging skin of the neck.
Radiofrequency lifting is ideal for patients with dark skin phototypes (skin phototype IV-VI), in which it is important to protect the epidermal-dermal joint from thermal influence. The silicone-coated part of the needle electrodes guarantees the minimization of thermal damage to the epidermal-dermal joint.
The Morpheus8 focused RF elevator provides spot work on skin texture, creating an effect of deep renewal and rejuvenation.
